The 10 players with the most goals & assists in Europe in 2024-25: Salah, Marmoush…
Three Barcelona stars are alongside players from Liverpool, Chelsea, PSG and Manchester City when it comes to the most combined goals and assists in 2024-25 so far.
It takes something special to be able to create and finish, and there are an interesting mix of the usual suspects alongside some surprise names when you take a look at which players have notched the most direct goal contributions in Europe’s top five leagues – Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 – so far this season.
Without further ado, here are the 10 players who have registered the most combined goals and assists in Europe’s major leagues at this stage of the campaign.
Note: if two players are tied on goal contributions, we’ve ordered them by their ratio of goals and assists per minute. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland misses out by virtue of more minutes played.
10. Vinicius Junior – 12 (8 goals, 4 assists)
“I’ll do it 10x if I have to. They’re not ready,” the Brazilian posted on Twitter after his shock runner-up to Rodri this year.
Vini’s recent hat-trick against Osasuna demonstrated those weren’t empty words.
9. Lamine Yamal – 12 (5 goals, 7 assists)
The La Masia graduate made his first-team debut at 15 before an all-round excellent breakthrough campaign at the age of 16, but it was Euro 2024 – in which he was Spain’s most potent forward as they laid hands on the trophy – that showed Yamal is already amongst Europe’s most fearsome attackers by any measure, ignoring his age.
Yamal is already demonstrating that glorious summer was no flash in the pan. He’s the real deal, having either scored or assisted in most of his La Liga appearances to date this season.

8. Cole Palmer – 12 (7 goals, 5 assists)
Only Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane notched more combined goals and assists than Palmer last season. The 22-year-old has picked up where he’s left off, continuing to dazzle for a young Chelsea side that are finally starting to piece things together with Palmer their undisputed star.
He set up each of Noni Madueke’s hat-trick goals and scored the pick of the bunch himself in the Blues’ 6-2 mauling of Wolves before once again assisting Nicolas Jackson against Crystal Palace. But it was his four-star performance against Brighton that had pundits questioning whether he might genuinely be the best footballer in England right now.
Good job Chelsea have got him tied down to 2057.
7. Bradley Barcola – 12 (10 goals, 2 assists)
Who needs Kylian Mbappe?
Not only is Barcola notching better numbers this season than the Real Madrid star, but he’s played a key role in PSG continuing to dominate in France.
The Parisiens have already forged a comfortable six-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table and they’ve got France’s next big star to thank for their lofty position.
6. Raphinha – 13 (7 goals, 6 assists)
The former Leeds United winger won the La Liga title in his debut season with Barcelona, and had more than his fair share of decent moments, but it would be fair to say that he’s never entirely convinced in Catalonia.
That’s all changed in the early months of the 2024-25 campaign, in which the Brazilian has stepped things up another level under Hansi Flick. He deservedly picked up La Liga’s Player of the Month for August, notched his first career hat-trick against Real Valladolid, and shows no signs of slowing down with another hat-trick against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Raphinha is producing the best football of his career right now.

5. Mohamed Salah – 14 (8 goals, 6 assists)
You ought to be used to this cycle by now. Salah looking sluggish after returning from AFCON, only to make his doubters look incredibly daft by starting the following season like a house on fire.
Liverpool’s Egyptian King has been among the Premier League’s standout players at this early stage. He’s been directly involved in 10 of the 15 goals that Arne Slot’s Reds have scored so far, scoring eight and assisting six.
In the Premier League so far this season, only Bukayo Saka has assisted more and only Erling Haaland has scored more.

4. Mateo Retegui – 10 (8 goals, 2 assists)
If we’d told you that only one summer signing would feature in this top 10, you might’ve guessed Mbappe. Nope – Atalanta’s Retegui is outperforming Real Madrid’s latest Galactico to lay a claim as the signing of the summer.
Atalanta have done superbly well to replace injured star striker Gianluca Scamacca, who suffered a serious ACL injury on the eve of the campaign.
Retegui might just be the most in-form player in Serie A right now. Music to the ears of Italy fans everywhere – might the Argentina-born Boca Juniors academy graduate be the man to fire the Azzurri to their first World Cup since 2014?
3. Robert Lewandowski – 16 (14 goals, 2 assists)
We’re seeing a whole host of new and exciting names in this top 10, but Lewandowski very much belongs to the old guard.
The third Barcelona player to feature here, they might be a serious force if they can keep Lewandowski, Yamal and Raphinha fit and firing like this throughout the whole campaign.
Flick has a proven track record of getting the best out of the veteran Polish striker. The 36-year-old has notched 24 goals and two assists so far in 10 La Liga appearances in 2024-25.
2. Harry Kane – 16 (11 goals, 5 assists)
The England captain might not have lifted a trophy last term but his numbers in his debut season with Bayern Munich were off the scale, and so far in 2024-25 he’s somehow on track to better them.
Kane averages a goal or assist every 52 minutes in the Bundesliga so far this season. That’s almost the best-attacking output of any player in this top 10. Almost…
1. Omar Marmoush – 18 (11 goals, 7 assists)
Introducing looking at 2024-25’s breakout star. Kane doesn’t quite boast the best numbers in Europe, or the Bundesliga for that matter, because Egyptian forward Marmoush is absolutely smashing it at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 25-year-old has 11 goals and seven assists in just seven Bundesliga appearances, averaging a goal or assist every 46 minutes.
Earlier in the campaign he made scouts across Europe sit up and take notice when scored twice and set up another in Eintracht’s recent 3-3 draw with table-toppers Bayern, and he’s maintained that blistering form ever since.
